And we are hoping we get it with GLEE.

On Tuesday we witnessed something rather wonderful, Kurt, speaking his mind, tell the boy going after his boy, that he doesn't like him. The insults were flown with such elegance and grace, it was like watching a work of art. We look forward to see Kurt pulling out his claws, only to elegantly paw at his prey!

Good times ahead! Keep it coming Glee. You are all we have right now.

An expansion of the award-winning short film “Postmortem,” “August” tells the story of two former lovers, Troy and Jonathan, who reunite after a long ago painful breakup. After spending several years in Spain, Troy returns to Los Angeles and decides to phone Jonathan and meet for coffee. A seemingly innocent rendezvous turns flirtatious as they are intensely swept away by each other’s presence and memories of the past.

This is Eldars first feature, and after seeing his previous Queer Shorts, we must say we are very impressed. Stay with this out there Director! He is one to watch!

Most recently, the quick witted 'Fuckbuddies' about two guys who meet for a lunch time sex break, which goes awkwardly in the back seat of a car, if anyone else here has tried that, we all know these positions, whilst they can be fun, they are also a little uncomfortable. But the best thing about this film is the dialogue during and after the sexual dalliance. So sweet, so funny, and so cute.
He is a must watch director, and lets keep our fingers crossed he continues to make great queer stories for us!

We never thought we would see these words spoken on a main stream tv show, that was not specifically made for a gay audience, although I am sure the gays are LOVING this series because it is just trash and trash that we love to love and lap it up so very well. Tonight we also got to see the lovely Teddy Sears butt and Zachary Quinto in a lovely latex number!!! Damm he looked sooo cute! And we are sOO Soo happy seeing him shine in his Gay Ghost Role!!!!

DUSTIN LANCE BLACK

Is someone doing something really good. We find it hard to put into words how what DUSTIN LANCE BLACK does is making a difference, but we feel it is. By him being an openly gay and outspoken activist writing main stream released film with very strong gay theme storys, well, he is putting it out there. He is being a Queer on Screen and making people pay attention. We have such HUGE respect and are very excited to see the new film he did "J Edgar"

It's all about having someone to love

Or at least that is what they are trying to get across on GLEE.

This weeks episode was about Rachel and Finn having their first time and Kurt and Blaine going for it as well. but there was a problem in the mix for both. The problem for Kurt and Blaine, was the new character - sebastian. An evil warbler who has all your classic devil with a smile looks about him, and a very seductive way, but has no heart. So naturally, we can expect your classic, jealous scenarios coming up. How will they deal with it, oh the dramas of being a teenager, experiencing love and possibly loosing it, sex and the dangers etc etc. While it seems like these should be interesting enough stories, it all kind of seemed a little blah. Kurt is an amazing character, Blaine is just a bore. Glee was fun, but when they have episodes with out Sue Silvester, it really lags. Dont want to sound nagging here, I am so happy this show exists, but want it to go a little further. Apparently the network is very happy with Ryan Murphy and willing to let him do his thing, so why can't he make his thing a little more exciting and a little more real. 

Question. How often do young gay men find other young gay men in small towns, fall in love and have the perfect first time?

no, really, you MUST watch this great 7 minute video. not sure if it is classified as a short film or a music video, but either way, it is pretty fucking terrific and we love it. the group that made it, LAMBADA JUNGEND NETWORD are an organisation in Germany dedicated to helping gay and lesbian youth.

ZONA SUR

A GREAT Queer Film from Juan Carlos Valdivia! Everything is moving, from the story to the camera, it just doesn't stop, which makes it one of the most interesting, innovative and queerest films of them all. We especially like the very out and very honest Lesbian Character played by Mariana Vargas! Such a great and powerful character, especially when it comes to dealing with that mother! wow!

If it was not for this openly gay man, we may not have any Queers on Screen! thankfully, he teamed up with recently outted Zachary Quinto for the American Horror Story trashy as hell TV series. Its fun, pretty bordering on the WTF? but not in a great way, BUT he did bring the gay couple back that was the last couple murdered in the haunted house. And they play such great bitchy queens. Really a fun couple, on the edge, stuck in that house. Can't wait to see what happens in Part 2.

The Potential Queer Breakout Hit that wasn't

The Playboy Club

it has a great underground queer storyline building through it, and sadly, because it's main story arc was so lame, it got cancelled. BUT we hear it is still being produced, to be sold somewhere else. so maybe we get to see it again and more so, SEAN MAHER, the lead Gay character who also came out last month! Very happy for him! Hope he goes on to do more GREAT Queer Projects!

A queer short we know well, that is Super Disturbing! Made by Queers for Queers! It involves blood, headless bodies in the snow and a gun holding granny. Classic!

Another Question

Do you think there are more Lesbians out in the Film and TV Industry then Gay Men? I was just going through some pictures and realised, I don't have so many of Lesbians. Why is that? Not that I haven't been on the search for it, or is it because it is more news worthy when an unsuspecting male comes out that we hear of it more? Or am I out of the lesbian loop. Does this divide in our worlds exist?

Question - why is HERE! even here? They do not seem to be producing any more Queer TV shows. Just bringing on more reality crap and outsourcing. This is a shame. A big shame. Will they change? Let's hope so. For the Lairs sake....

Queer Music ? ! YES !

Well, it is a queer band, and we love their music.
Hailing from Berlin, the very underground So Low Suicide are making their 2nd Album. The first was a very limited edition and small run of RED BIRD and we were so lucky to score a copy. Help them make there 2nd Bigger!

At least there is Grey's Anatomy

for the lesbian content. thank you. something. a non giant storyline focusing on the importance of sex, and they give it to the lovely lesbian couple, who were bordering on moving away from sexuality to familyhood, which is where shows tend to bury queers alive. but they did not do that this week. which was very nice to see. the actors play these lesbian character so well, it was really a nice subplot to see on a rather queer desert island our friend TV has been lately.

We were skeptical when we first heard of this series. Another fantasy story made into a show, really. but then were hooked after the first ten minutes. Just the fashion on the show, they may be in some kind of old age world, but they know style! THEN we got a taste and a hint of some gay relationships, and we were even more hooked.

Coming back to the fold...

After a little breaky break, where not to much has been happening on TV. We almost thought, what is the point, we had a weak moment, it was pretty sad, but when we looked to our beloved friend Mr. Television, we were not getting any help. Hardly any queer characters coming on to TV. We had two new ones on PLAYBOY CLUB but it got canned very quick. We still have Kurt and Blaine on GLEE but its off until November. DAMM IT! and then who??? We are struggling to think. No Queers on PARKS AND RECREATIONS which is very sad, because they could do it sooo well, we reference the Gay Penguin Wedding Episode in season 2. But in the rest of the major shows, nothing, Dexter. Empty. THE GOOD WIFE occasionally the brother comes in with a few gay scenes. They have one of the best Queer Actors of our time on that show, and do not use him to his full potential sadly. Well, he does alright. We're talking Alan Cumming. Then what, south park, no gays but then FAMILY GUY has stewie, who is always great. Breaking Bad, our favourite show, hinted at GUS the big baddy being in a homosexual relationship, but it was not explored. TOTAL LOST OPPORTUNITY!!! Nurse Jackie is not back on yet, and weeds was just sad. lacking any great guest characters. You can see why it has been a sad little monkey. Clinging to TRUE BLOOD for the queerness, but then they kill the hottest queer off at the end! WHAT! And where was Tara's relationship storyline? it went as fast as it came! SAD! But, we are feeling positive. We will branch out. We will look now to the cinemas for some QUEER ACTION! It will happen. And then, the wave will come back to our friend. Mr. Television.

Zachary Quinto - out he comes! that's the way!

Our favourite villain of prime time, our sexy science fiction dream, came out, in such a great way, with a nice blog on his website. Whilst I heard he never kept his sexuality a secret, he also never publicly said, hey, im gay. But now he has, and we think it is very great that he has done so. Especially when he stated that it was because of the most recent Gay Teen Suicide, that he felt it his duty to do this, to be responsible and to embrace his power to be able to change things. Which we believe he will. Go Quinto!
